Just over an hour ago, I dropped my morphine by 20%, which is good news really. Unfortunately, it means I will be lost in the land of opiate withdrawal for the next few days. I also realise I haven’t written anything for you for quite some time, so I thought I would blog about a couple things while I remain coherent.
First some news about this blog itself. Last weekend I was at an impromptu(ish) party. The usual long and varied conversations went on, and I think I can be confident when I say, it was mutually agreed that hanging out with good friends is one of the greatest pleasures in life. It is good for the soul.
Anyway, at that party, my friend, and possibly yours, the guy known as Scally, offered to make me a website, where this blog could find a good home. True to his word, Scally has got me a Big Monkey Cult web address, and put up, what we could call, a draft website. As soon as I’m back from La La Land, I’ll transfer this blog to it’s new, and permanent, home. Watch this space for more details, I don’t want any reader to be left behind.
The other thing I want to do, is eagerly encourage everyone to listen to a radio play on Radio Four, entitled Fugue State. You can listen to it here for the next 20 days;
I was banging on about this play when it was first broadcast last October (it’s been repeated because it won some awards). It involves themes close to my heart, like the nature of consciousness, and of reality itself. It even has an audio illusion. After you have heard it for the first time, you can never hear it the same way again.
Perhaps we can all discuss it when I get over this month’s withdrawal.
Love & peace,
Zero
